Chicken Korma


Chicken korma is a traditional Indian dish derived from Mughal cuisine. All the korma lovers will go crazy for this tempting dish.

Prepare this dish in less than an hour for your special events. It's very rich in flavours and it's simply delicious.


You will need, Ingredients:

• 1 full chicken
• 1 lemon juice
• 100g thick yogurt
• 1/2 cup oil
• 3 onions sliced and fried
• 2 tomatoes chopped
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 4 pepper corn
• 3 cloves
• 2 green cardamon
• 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 
• 2 tbsp ground red pepper
• 1 tbsp ground coriander
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp ground garam masala
• 50g almonds paste 
• few strands of saffron
• 2 green chillies slitted  
• Salt
• 1/2 cup chopped coriander


Step 1:

Marinate chicken for 30 mins in yogurt, ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp ground red pepper, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and lemon juice.


Step 2:

Heat oil in a pan, add whole spices and fried onions. Add tomatoes and sauté for 5 minutes on medium heat. Add Chicken and almonds paste. Cook for 2 mins.

Add remaining ground spices. Add some water and keep stirring occasionally. Add few strands of saffron.

Cook till all the spices are fused well with the chicken.

Cover with a lid and cook on slow fire. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

Serve hot with basmati rice or Naan. Enjoy!
